Pre wedding meeting: Lori & Dave
Lori & Dave didn't want a wedding photographer. Their priority was saving their money for their upcoming European honeymoon- and who could blame them really?
However, going by the advice of their close ones they decided to have me knowing they would regret not having professional images of the most important day of their lives as a couple.
Understandably, they were initially filled with doubt but the pre- wedding meeting which is held at the venue to be eased their concerns and they now feel they have made the right decision.
Venue: O'Reilly's Canungra Valley Vineyard
Choosing the right photographer for your wedding is a nerve wrecking process! Pre- wedding meetings allow the couple and myself to get to know each other some more, and Lori knew from my news letters they would be receiving a mini shoot as part of their pre- wedding meeting.
I provide pre- wedding meetings completely complimentary out of my own time because it is such an essential component to the process. Those who are more directly involved in their wedding photography have a higher degree of happiness because they have communicated to me clearly what they are wanting from their wedding photography.
Since I am not a mind reader, without this information and without taking the time to get to know my clients there is a risk I may not do the type of imagery they are wanting- no matter how good the photography is.
As an example, Lori & Dave clearly communicated to me they are not the type of couple who wants the overly posed or jumping shots. Had they not told me this, I may have been inclined to direct this type of photography on the day since jumping shots are very popular. If that does not reasonate with their personality- they will not enjoy that style of photography, no matter how good the quality is.
This is the importance of pre- wedding meetings and me as your photographer communicating clearly with you to discover what it is you love.
Your day, your way.
